raw milk party

These recent studio tests (working under the title of raw milk party) are comprised of recent assemblage work made since joining Spacecraft Limerick in January, building upon continuing themes in my practice exploring how meaning is made and disseminated in contemporary society, and the impact of social media and the visual language of the Internet on strategies of interpretation.

Working across painting, montage and text, this body of work examines the overlooked and disregarded aspects of visual culture by echoing and challenging the ways we encounter and interact with images and objects through digital media. Clumsily printed found images sit on the floor, on scraps of wood and cardboard, deliberately refusing to adhere to coherent narratives alongside fragments of text, gestural marks and collected debris.
